Quick answers for using Lost Loot Finder effectively.

  1. Add your stolen item with clear title, description, and location.
  2. Select your preferred marketplaces during onboarding (or from Actions → Manage Marketplaces).
  3. Install/enable the browser extension from Extension Setup.
  4. Use Scan All Sources when at least one native source is enabled (eBay, Craigslist, Uncle Henry's).
  5. Use Marketplace Search to open your selected marketplaces in a browser tab and capture listings with the extension.
  6. Open Matches by Item and review top confidence results first.
  7. Use Confirm and Reject to keep review moving.

  • Confidence % indicates how strongly a listing matches your item.
  • Why it matched explains key signals (title, keywords, similarity).
  • Focused View means you are viewing matches for one specific item.
  • Use Back to All Matches to return to the master list.

  • Min Confidence filters what appears in your matches list.
  • Filter changes apply automatically. There is no separate Apply button.
  • Start in Needs Review and quickly mark each result Likely Match or Not a Match.
  • Use confidence only as a noise control, not as a separate ranking system to manage.
  • Higher values reduce noise; lower values surface broader leads.

  • Enable Push and Email from the settings button.
  • Set your minimum confidence to avoid low-quality alerts.
  • Notifications are grouped to reduce spam and highlight stronger matches.

  • Edit item details when you have better information.
  • Mark items as Recovered to remove stale matches.
  • Use status filters to view Active, Recovered, or Closed items.

  • Free, Supporter, and Pro include different daily scan and item limits.
  • If you hit a limit, you will see a clear upgrade prompt before scanning starts.
  • Your current usage appears in the Plan card on the dashboard.

  • No matches: lower Min Confidence and verify item description quality.
  • Too many matches: raise Min Confidence and confirm/reject aggressively.
  • No notifications: check notification settings and browser permission.
  • Extension not counting: reload extension and refresh marketplace tab.
  • In-app scan unavailable: enable at least one native source (eBay, Craigslist, Uncle Henry's) in Manage Marketplaces.
